Given:

Total days = 10 days

Total payment = Rs. 10,000

Man is 50% more efficient than boy.

Formula used:

Efficiency ratio = Work ratio = Wage ratio

Calculations:

Efficiency ratio (Man : Boy) = 150 : 100 = 3 : 2

Work ratio (Man : Boy) = 3 : 2

Wage ratio (Man : Boy) = 3 : 2

Total ratio = 3 + 2 = 5

Total daily wage = 10000 / 10 = 1000

Man's daily wage ratio = 3/5

Boy's daily wage ratio = 2/5

Man's daily wage = (3/5) × 1000 = Rs. 600

Boy's daily wage = (2/5) × 1000 = Rs. 400

Difference = 600 - 400 = Rs. 200

∴ The difference between the daily wages of the man and the boy is Rs. 200.
