  • Strike with a meteorite: these are coming from extraterrestrial sources
• Other causes of the tsunami are atmospheric causes, manmade sources, etc. which are not so effective and common
• In 70% of cases, the sudden motion of the seafloor is caused due to the deep sea earthquake occurring due to a number of factors
